THE COPY ME RULE SET - by Netpoet/Park Studios/Downlords
In this chapter I give you a complete set of party compo rules that I propose.
Feel free to use this set any way you like, including adding, deleting or
changing of parts or whole sections. Please take note of the fact that you will
still have to put life into the surprise compos. It doesnt make sense to give
everybody the same compo ideas, of course, so youll have to make up some own
ones. :-
I. GENERAL RULES
1. Entries have to be handed in or uploaded until the given deadline for each
compo.
2. Entries that dont match any of the rules listed here or violate any laws
especially copyright and protection of minors laws will not be taken into
the compos disqualified. By entering an entry the competitor assures
that by doing so he does not violate any third partys right or law.
3. The organizers have the right to cancel compos or pool several ones together
into one for any reason.
4. If referred to a packed filesize, this refers to the size of the unpacked
file after having been packed with the ZIP routine in the current public
version.
5. The organizers have the right to have a preselection for each compo.
6. The author of an entry must either have legally entered the party place
usually by paying entry fee or being a woman, as women usually get in for
free in person or have a group member present who hands it in for him/her.
7. Voting system
7.1 There will be a mixture of jury voting and public voting for all compos
except for the fun compos that are rated by only public voting.
7.2 There will be different juries for the Demo, Graphics, Music and Fast
categories.
7.3 Jury members are chosen by the organizers among the applications that have
taken place before the party starts. If the jury does not have enough
members, the organizers choose jury members among the party visitors as
they see fit. If asked by the organizers, jury membership is not mandatory.
In the process of choosing of members, the highest goal is to find
sophisticated people with different views on the issue to get the most
distinguished evaluation possible.
7.4 All juries are set to consist of 7 members. If in spite of all effort to
set up juries, the organizers couldnt find enough members, organizers fill
up the jury members.
7.5 Jury votes count 70 of the final votes, public votes count 30.
8. Anonymity
The organizers are allowed DONT HAVE to make graphics or music entries
anonymous for the presentation during the compo and the party FTP server, if
the artists didnt hand in an anonymous entry version if required in the
rules or if this is necessary to keep anonymity.
9. Entries that are not the alleged authors work ripped entries will be
disqualified.
