lemonade: goddamit it is not a guy!
in the kitchen it lives among cheeses and breads,
hiding its presence from sight,
and although rarely seen, it waits for the time,
that after digestion, it causes our flight.
a sudden rush to the toilet, our porcelain god,
to relieve the sensation it brought,
and the before we ingest our next slice of food,
to this fungi we show a quick thought.
to make sure that our food lacks of this horrible grime,
this slime which knows love and hate,
we must remember one thing, and that is to see,
the stamp on the front, the expiration date.
for the sickness it causes, it is held in contempt,
but for the ones it has cured, it shines as gold,
and forever in mind until penicillin is needed,
I shall hold it in mind as nothing but MOLD.
