july 1998 -
hey hey everyone! welcome to aspires premiere release.
i hope everyone likes the art, but if you dont tough shit
weather or not you like the art, you ought to drop me a line or so
on father damiens board deep. id like to hear compliments, threats,
suggestions, whatever.
the story -
im sure that most of you have heard the story behind
aspire, but for those who havent, here it is... i stopped modeming
a long while ago, and when i just recently returned, i realized that
there were no new art groups, artists, or art! it upset me. i started
to miss unit. i heard talk about new art groups starting up, but
nothing ever happened. thats when i decided to start my own group,
aspire. the name fits the group perectly. if you dont know what
aspire means, look it up. aspire isnt about who can draw the best
art, or out doing each other. its a laid-back group where artists
new and old get together to draw for fun, because thats what it
all should really be about. but somehow or another, i ended up with
all kindsa great artists.
the members -
since aspire is just starting out, i figured that the
art might not be as great as expected, but i was wrong. all of the
artists in aspire are great. and they are all great just for the
fact that they all have been working their asses off, and thats
whats important. everybody here tries. and you can tell that their
efforts have definatly payed off.
requests -
this goes out to everyone, especially all the sysops.
please do not email aspire members with requests. there should be
a request form in this pack. just fill it out and upload it on
father damiens board deep in the designated area. we did things
this way so it will be easier to keep all of our requests sorted
out.
new artists -
since this is a new group, all of the artists are new
here. i personally asked all of the artists in the group if theyd
like to join. only one of the aspire artists applied. and his name
is mad hatter. and since he didnt become part of our crew untill
the end of the month, he wont be releasing this time. so please
make sure to check out some of his work next pack. mad hatter is
making a come back. he used to be around a long time ago, so id
like to welcome him back to the scene. aspire is always looking for
new local artists. so, right now, go and fill out the application
that came in this pack! the only requirements are that you have to
draw either ansi or ascii, and you have to know how to enjoy drawing.
the greetz -
first off i have to greet the aspire crew. without
the crew, aspire would have never made it out of the planning
stage. the support you all gave me and each other was incredible.
i also have to greet the rest of the 410 for not giving up on us
artists. my special greetz go out to father damien for running
deep, his sweet wwiv setup, to infect for running his phatty
iniquity board, eldorado, to mad hatter for bring back his old
school board, wonderlust, and to johnny 5 for opening his anime
board, otaku underground.
last words -
all you have to do now is sit back and relax, and view
the art. remember, drop my a line or so to tell me what you think
of the pack.
