welcome
what is there to say, welcome to AV pack numbah 14. yes, a LOT of
people have completely lost faith in this months guest compiler after
all that fuss and bad karma that was brought about by a well-meant
promise about 2 months ago lemme do it on time! .. and its not on
time. unlike the ever-so indignant blue apache there is no excuse
for the inexcusable lateness, however 13-hours a day at work did
slightly shift priorities. never the less the wait has been worth it
as there is some star art in this pack. they all say that, but I
actually mean it. see for yourself.
not that anybody follows av like a rabid dog chasing its tail, but
as the group with the reputation of fucking around the most, we do
hope to one day attain the position of the silliest people in the
scene, one day far in the future. now, to the pack and more important
news, and leave behind the trademark arrogance!
pikers
the following people, to my knowledge, have piked from AV since the
last pack september96. for that, they will hereforth be cast
as villians, whose prime aim is to pillage, plunder and rape helpless
victims, including flicks mother. not that theres anything wrong
with that! .. seinfeld
juice quits, saying he no longer cares much for anything, including
the scene. bleh, we have seen this before, although he wont
be back for more like chief wiggum for chocolate, he will
probably still take an interest. a sad loss since juice
perfectly fitted the dont care mould of AV. Oh well. We
dont really care! : Actually he didnt really quit like
that, it was a lot more amicalble. Never the less. .. newman
trippah, who has moved to that other particular ansi group. more
on this dastardly show of espionage and covert counter-drawing
later. however, trippahs willingness to draw anything for
anybody, yes, he would even do a closeup of flicks mothers pink
bits, will be sadly missed. Happy drawing trip!
suffice to say, my memory is short and flawed, so you miss out on the
other people that either quit or developed a social life since sept96
synthetic
this will be short as the news file is growing longer than I intended,
but anyway there has been a new group start up called Synthetic, at
the moment the founding member and head honcho, organiser, whatever
people call the big cheese these days, is trippah. since this
is a former member of AV himself, it is rude to say nasty things but
i still firmly believe that more ansi groups is bad news for the
scene in general, and someone should really put the kybosh on this
malpractice by would-be experienced ansi artists and other assorted
graphicians as soon as possible, to prevent another artist shortage
and group collapse, ie. SiCK95 all over again. roughly anyway.
hmm, enough is enough i say! there, that WAS short. so read on!

hope you enjoy the pack. im not artisically talented, so commenting
on the actual works themselves leaves me in a rather precarious
position and may further damage the tattered reputation of our group.
personally i think most of the work represents a fine effort by those
concerned but ansi vga are both ever-changing graphic mediums for
releasing art so its hard to keep up. never the less, i hope the
artists are proud of their efforts because I sure am!
