going and try to get back to home, get
essentials, and really jump the
state.
Only a couple
blocks to my house, I see no one there. I have to get what
I will need. My .38, two changes of clothes and nothing else.
That is
all I will need for this trip.
A light shi
nes through my apartment window, and the voice that is being
thrown out through a speaker, it is the police. How stupid co
uld I have
been? They shouted my name to me at the bank, t
hey must have been keeping
an eye on the place. I must esc
ape, the back door is the only way to get
out of here.
My pistol in hand, I shoot for the back fire escape, common w
ay to get out
but I do not think they are thinking that I w
ill go about that way. All
those years at the bank, I was
a pushover, I would give up easily. Not
this time though,
I will get free, and no one will stop me.
Lights flash in
my eyes, they are all here. I can not go down like this!
The odds are against me once again, but I have proven to get fre
e before.
They command me to drop my gun, and in the moveme
nt of doing so, I start
to open fire on the police, only si
x shots, I think, I must make them last.
The police open
fire on me, but 7 stories up, they are not going to hit me
too easily, I run down the fire escape, but something hurts in m
y left
leg. In the rush to get away, I was shot in my leg.
I can not walk, the
addrenalin is almost gone, I can't ev
en move, but I still have two bullets
left. I stand using
all of my might and open fire, in less than a second
hundre
ds of bullets are tearing through my skin. The last thing I can
remember seeing is the police trying to get me to the hosp
itol, with
someone I don't even know caring for me. I hear
people saying that I will
not make it, I will not make it.
It just echos in my ears. The robbery
wasn't succesful,
and so wasn't my life.
