News Letter Pak o1
XGA is Back! Well, not really. XGA renamed to RAVE, and for the best. The
whole Rave Crew put a lot of work and effort into making this first Pak a
success. Now let me tell you about the origin of this group. XGA released two
Paks, and merged with a group called REM. Things did not work out with that
group, so i pulled out the ex-XGA members and to make things offical, renamed
to Rave, and decided to re-form, and come out bigger, and better than ever.
We have some really decent guys in the group now. Jello Biafra, who just
got out of CLaN, decided to join Rave, and help us out. Banshee, who left
SHiVER, Decided to join Rave as an Ansi Artist, and to join Senior Staff,
and recruit more members. Storm Blade added to our Rave VGA Division nicely,
and should be showing his excellent gifs by next pak. We are still testing
things and getting this group on the ground, so if you are not entirely
pleased with this pak, theres always a next pak :
Now to tell you folks how you can get into this group. If you are on the
Internet, you can always reach me on the irc in raveinc,ansi,or ice. Also,
Rave should be getting a VMB soon, so that will make it better for you to
keep in touch or apply to the Rave Crew. Also, if you have talent in artwork,
let it be Ansis, VGA, or are a good programmer, and would like to be a Coder
for Rave, please fill out the Application Generator in this Packet and Upload
it to Stellar Nights at 6io.896.9i4o as soon as possible.
Raves offical Support Network as of now is CipNet Crime in Progress.
All Dist Sites/Member Boards have an option to carry this net, but if you
would like to keep in better touch with the Rave Members, we suggest you pick

I would now like to tell you something important to me. You all are
Probably looking at this, and thinking Just another Ansi Group of the week.
But this group is different. We are relaxed, yet organized. We have heart,
and every member treats each other with maturity and respect. We are friendly,
and put out a pak whenever we think we have enough to put it in. We are not
going to rush a pak just to make some sort of deadline. We are planning on
picking up quite a few more members this next pak, and will be expanding into
a group that is extremely succesful.
I want to just write a quick paragraph here thanking Tron for a lot of
Support with this group, and for helping to define a definite Support Net for
Rave.
You can also Contact Deception anywhere if you have any questions about
Rave, cause hes our President, and we both have almost equal shares in this
group.
Couriers this month are Doctor Who, and Ali Baba. We are looking for
more couriers, so please apply if you think you can be efficent enough.
Another good addition to this group, is Pericles, who decided to
finially stay with rave. His previous group record includes Light, and
Justice, and he continues to improve with every ansi. Glad to have ya PR!
Good thing should be coming out of Rave very shortly. Like i said, things
are pretty much getting on the ground right now. Artists will Surely come in
bigger numbers this upcoming month. Please be a part of it and fill out an
application that is included in this Pak.
Our Pak system goes like this. I want to make it clear hear that we are
not doing the monthly pak system. We will releasing a pak whenever we have
enuff stuff, to limitize the pressure of our members. It will go like:
ravepak1.zip,ravepak2.zip,ravepak3.zip,ect.
User input is very important. Please after you have reviewed this months
pak, make suggestions to the group. Please upload all suggestions to my bbs
or any other HQs and i will get it, and show it to the rest of the group.
We are all like a family here, and any big desicion will be a mutual
desicion, and i wont make it alone. It is teamwork, and cooperation that
makes a group successfull, and i beleive that Rave has what it takes. I do
not plan on putting out a pak, and then just merging with a group and lose
Rave just like that. I plan on sticking with this group, and helping grow
a strong group with a lot of active members.
Another big announcement this month, which i saved for the end, is that
a group based in 4i9, called DWi, was recently merged with Rave. The founder
is Raven and now joined the senior staff of Rave. He will make a nice edition
to the group, and his attitude is excellent.
I am sorry to say this, but this months pak is ansi viewer less! The
reason for this is because one of our best coders, is on vacation this month,
and i didnt want to release a shitty viewer this month just to have one in
the pak. To view the ansis in this pak, use an ansi viewer from any other
groups. Real sorry about this, look out for a good one next month.
